AGWA de Bolivia, Coca-Leaf liquor - From Bolivia, to Manchester
Description ::
AGWA de Bolivia is a herbal liqueur made in Amsterdam using Bolivian coca-leaves and numerous other herbs including guarana and ginseng. Since making its way to clubs and bars across London and Brighton last December, Agwa de Bolivia has built a reputation as a mystery liquor that is intoxicating, yet strangely energising too. Its being hailed as the new absinthe by some, the new Jägermeister by others, and being celebrated as everything from an alleged booster of sexual prowess to a substitute for illegal drugs. The reason for this is the now infamous AGWA BUZZ – the much talked about boost or high that the drink induces. The high is perfectly natural and legal and seems to completely vary in experience from one drinker to the next. This differing experience is also down to the numerous ways that AGWA can be drunk; straight with lime (Bolivian Kiss), in long drinks, in cocktails, or even (especially in Australia), mixed with energy drinks! Already very popular in a number of markets worldwide (Vegas, Amsterdam, Ibiza and Melbourne being the biggest sellers!), AGWAs reputation as a party starter meant that, once available in the UK, it found its way straight into London & Brighton’s leading bars and clubs. Fabric, Ministry of Sound, SeOne, The Honeyclub and Digital are amongst those venues currently livening up their clubbers by selling huge quantities of AGWA. Cutting-edge bars such as Lost Society and Karma have taken advantage of the drinks versatility by adding AGWA - coca-leaf cocktails sections to their menus. The AGWA BUZZ is not for everybody and certainly not for every venue. The drink will be hitting the UK one City at a time with Manchester next – the most discerning of party people will see the drink launching only in the very best of Manchesters venues over the next month.
